What a week I've had. First off, my internet connection was lost. I called comcast to see what the problem was, apparently there was an outage in the neighborhood that they are "currently working on" and will have me up and running "as soon as possible". So I waited.

The next day I called back, and was told that the outage was taking care of, so I must have something hooked up wrong. Wha? I haven't unhooked anythinf at all. They informed me that a technician would come out the following day. So I waited.

The next day the technician said that my router was broken outdated and needed to be replaced. I went and purchased a new one, and had my dad set it up for me. It still didn't work. I called comcast back and told them that. They said that it must be my modem, so I returened the router and purchased a modem. It still didn't work. They said that they would come out the next day. So I waited.

Another technician came out today and said that the problem had nothing to do with my router or my modem, but that the internet line outside was chewed through by squirrels. SQUIRRELS?! If that no good incompetent (first) technician ahdn't been so lazy and had taken a look outside instead of giving me the run around, I could of had internet access days ago. I am so frustrated.

And to add to all my sorrows, I cracked a tooth this week and was in pain for 3 days before I could see my dentist. I hope that everyone else's week went a lot better than mine. I'll have to catch up with everyone's journal. *Hugs*

Smallville premiered tonight and honestly I completely forgot about it. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it being on a Friday. Maybe it's because my self-conscious knew better than to dwell on SV. Whatever the reason, Smallville didn't enter into my mind until I logged online tonight, and I don't regret it. Huzzah!

Now I just can't wait for the ratings. I agree with excelaunt when she said that the premiere will do well and then it will start to taper off. But a small part of me is hoping that the ratings are utter fail and that we don't have to wait the entire season. I just know that I will have a hard time sleeping tonight. Ugh!

Because I have decided to enjoy Smallville via fanon only, I have been filling my time looking for distractions. I cannot afford to let Smallville suck me back in, no matter what.  So I have been watching Drop Dead Diva and The Real Houswives Of Atlanta. I am completely hooked! Of course I know that these shows won't be on during the SV season, but they have successfully kept me from stressing out from the upcoming season. SV just seemed to melt away. I realized that SV is like a drug, if you step away and allow yourself to fully detox, you'll be ok. And if I can stay away from SV canon, I'll be alright.

So, does anyone else watch these shows? They are really good, especially DDD.   -_-

I wasn't expecting filming to start so soon, considering that NM won't even be in theaters yet. I mean, I know why it's so fast (vamps aren't suppose to age) but I still wasn't expecting it.

Michael Jackson died today of a cardiac arrest.

In lieu of Smallville being a total disappointment, I have decided to go show shopping. I need a new obsession, a show that actually makes since. I was planning on trying out Vampire Diaries but I'm not sure what else is out there. (Or what will be out this fall)  Any ideas? What will you be watching this fall?
